Accessibility Statement

Overhead Measure is committed to making our website and Service as accessible as reasonably possible for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where feasible for a map-based measurement product.

This statement applies to overheadmeasure.com and related public pages. Interactive map and drawing tools have inherent limitations described below.

1. Conformance status

We consider the Service partially conformantwith WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content fully meet the standard, while other parts do not yet fully meet it — especially the interactive map canvas and freehand/polygon drawing workflows, which are primarily visual and pointer-driven.

2. Measures we take

• Semantic HTML and keyboard-reachable controls on marketing, account, pricing, billing, and legal pages where practical
• Visible text labels and aria-label attributes on icon- only controls in the application UI
• Sufficient color contrast targets for primary text and many controls
• Responsive layouts that support browser zoom; map pinch-zoom remains available
• Respect for prefers-reduced-motion in several animated UI elements
• Ongoing fixes as we discover barriers through testing and user feedback

3. Known limitations

The following areas are known to present accessibility barriers today:

• Map canvas and drawing tools. Measuring requires viewing aerial imagery and placing/editing shapes with a pointer (or touch). Full keyboard-only or screen-reader-only drawing of arbitrary polygons is not currently supported at an equivalent level of functionality.
• AI outline / detection overlays. Visual overlays and video tutorials convey information that may not have a complete non-visual equivalent.
• Third-party widgets. Sign-in/sign-up (Clerk) and checkout/billing portal (Stripe) are provided by third parties and inherit their accessibility characteristics.
• Complex dense UI on small screens. Some workspace controls may be harder to use on very small viewports or with certain assistive technologies.

We are not claiming that the measurement workspace is fully accessible under all WCAG success criteria. If you need an alternative way to complete a task, contact us (Section 5).

4. Compatibility

The Service is designed to work with modern evergreen browsers (recent Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge). Assistive technologies such as screen readers may work better on documentation/marketing pages than on the map workspace.

5. Feedback and assistance

We welcome accessibility feedback. If you encounter a barrier, need a reasonable accommodation, or require assistance using the Service, email generalinbox@overheadmeasure.com with:

• The page or feature involved
• A description of the problem
• Your browser / assistive technology (if known)
• How we can best help you complete your task

We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within five (5) business days and to provide a substantive response within fifteen (15) business days. Complex map-related requests may take longer; we will tell you if so.

6. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have rights to file a complaint with a human rights commission or other authority in your jurisdiction (for example, in Ontario, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario / Ontario Human Rights Commission processes, or other applicable bodies). We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

7. Assessment approach

7.1 Self-evaluation

This statement is based on self-evaluation of key templates (marketing pages, auth flows, billing, and the measurement workspace), knowledge of known map/canvas limitations, and iterative product fixes. We have not claimed a formal third-party WCAG certification.

7.2 Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we ship new features, we aim to avoid introducing new barriers on text-based pages and to improve labeling, focus order, and alternatives where practical within a visual measurement product.

This statement describes our accessibility efforts and how to get help. It does not modify the disclaimers, liability limits, or other terms in our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
